I used to love the Halo franchise so much. I remember having LAN parties when Halo 2 was the best thing since sliced bread. By the way, who ever said sliced bread was the best thing. Anyways, back to what I was saying. Somewhere between Halo: ODST and Halo: REACH I seem to have lost ALL interest in the Halo franchise. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Halo 4 will be a great game and sell a shit ton of copies, I’m just not personally interested in it. Now, I didn’t write this article to bitch and moan about a game that I have no interest in. No, quite the opposite actually. What Im trying to do is find out what has caused me to lose interest in Halo. Maybe it’s my age (26). Maybe it’s the fact that I don’t have that much time to play games anymore, so what little time I do have I use wisely. Maybe I matured as a gamer and no longer get satisfied with blowing noob faces to pieces. Whatever the case, I don’t like it. I miss going out to Halo midnight launch parties with friends. I know what your thinking; “Just go to the damn midnight launch then”. But it’s not that easy you see. I don’t feel excited inside like I used to. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy midnight launch events, I even went to the launch event for Forza: Horizon. What I’m asking you fine folks is to help me out here. I’m not looking for endless comments calling me a douche, or even calling me a noob. What I want is genuine responses to these two questions:
1. Halo 4 comes out tonight, what game will you be playing?
2. Have you lost interest in the Halo franchise after Halo 3? If so, why do you think you lost interest?
Thats all I’m asking folks. To answer my first question, I will be playing either Darksiders 2 or Borderlands 2.
